Audi’s newest SUV coupe, the 2019 Audi Q8 has been revealed in full production regalia at the Audi Summit in China.
Based on the MLBEvo platform shared with various other Audi, Porsche, Bentley and Lamborghini models, the Q8 is the brand’s flagship SUV, with striking styling, a gutsy and economical turbo-diesel engine and the choice between 21 and 22-inch alloy wheels.
The 2019 Audi Q8 measures 4986mm long, boasts 1995mm of width and is 1705mm tall. Compared with the more conventional and upright Q7, this makes it 66mm shorter and 27mm wider, with most of the length chop attributed to shorter overhangs. Bootspace is 605 litres with rear seats in play or 1755L with them folded flat.
Adaptive air suspension, Audi’s Multi Media Interface (MMI), matrix LED headlights and autonomous driving technology seen in the recently unveiled A8,A7 and A6 models are part of the equation too. Down the track, mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid petrol models will be joining the range, including S and RS models.
