2018 LDV T60 Off Road Concept looks tough

In conjunction with announcing prices for the 2018 LDV T60 utility range, Chinese company LDV has announced the T60 Off Road concept, that aims to give the 2018 Ford Ranger Raptor something to lose sleep about.

Developed for more adventure-minded customers, the T60 Off Road has been substantially enhanced to demonstrate a possible direction for a future flagship model.

This is no show pony though, the T60 Off Road features substantial engineering changes such as strengthening beams in the engine bay and tray for increase rigidity.

Other additions include a substantial increase in suspension height, a bespoke heavy duty front bumper with tow hooks, a pretty serious looking bash plate, grille mounted spotlights, a roof rack system incorporating a bar LED light, snorkel intake, wheel arch cladding and sports bar.

The tyre of choice is Cooper Discover STT pro, with a spare sitting in the tray, Paris-Dakar Rally style.

A production of the T60 Off Road concept is expected to follow the T60 ute, which starts from $28,990 for ABN holders. Highlights include a 10.0-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android auto, as well as a standard 2.8-litre diesel engine that generates 110kW at 3400 rpm and 360Nm from 1600-2800rpm.
